On July 1, 1867, six British North American colonies joined together in Confederation, creating the start of the Canada that we know today. British involvement diminished drastically after that, until finally Canada made the last of the arrangements that made it stand truly autonomously. Which makes Canada is the only major nation to gain its independence because it asked for it nicely. Seriously!!!
Of course, Canada’s true birth as a nation didn’t occur until WWI, where its participation in the war propelled Canada onto the world stage as a recognizable force, further solidified in its participation in WWII.
A good comparison would be a boy turning eighteen; it may be the legal age when one becomes an adult, but it may take a few more years before the boy has the skills to live by himself without being dependent and/or falling back on his parents.
CANADA →Hetalia of the Dead Part Two.
I want to talk about this picture because I find it rather interesting..
After a bit of research, I found out Knut was a polar who was born in the Berlin Zoological Garden in 2006. This polar bear became very popular and well known throughout the world (toys, dvds, and much more were made of him!). Knut sadly died in 2011 however he was the first polar bear to survive past infancy in the Berlin Zoo after 30 years. Since Mr. Kumajirou is a polar bear, I think it’s rather cute how Germany for a moment thinks it’s Knut. This shows that Germany had a place for Knut in his heart.
lazing around after work. Canadians.
So I was looking for a picture of Canada from the Halloween event thinking it would be cool enough to draw and put on my blog but instead I found this
